About us
History
Donald Reid founded the practice in 1965 from an office on Broadway in Maidenhead town centre with one employee. After moving a number of times as the practice grew a purpose built office was constructed on King Street in 1986, which the practice still occupies today.
David Gordon-Smith joined the practice from Ernest and Young in 2002 and become an equity partner in 2006. Daniel Reid joined the practice in 2004 from Deloitte and became an equity partner in 2007.
In 2007 the firm merged with a practice in Dorchester, renamed C B Reid Limited. The Dorchester office is headed by Peter Cattermole and both firms work closely together bringing their combined expertise to their clients.
In 2008 Donald Reid Financial Services was founded, which is regulated by the FSA and provides independent advice on investments, pensions and wealth management services to our clients.
In 2009 Donald Reid & Co incorporated to become Donald Reid Limited. The combined group now has 5 directors, 25 staff and 2 consultants.
The group is focussed on accountancy, tax advice, financial advice and business advisory. We aim to offer a range of experts whilst being small enough to ensure that you remain at the centre of our focus.
